It is essential for Japan and Vietnam to increase their awareness of the world and deepen their understanding, trust, and affinity for international exchange to facilitate cross-border activities between Japan and Vietnam and exchanges with people around the world.
JAPAN IBI actively disseminates a variety of information on Japan-Vietnam foreign policy and general conditions, introduces Japanese culture, promotes human exchange between Vietnam and Japan, and provides support for the spread of the Japanese language overseas.
In order to promote a correct understanding of Japan and Vietnam overseas and to foster a positive image and sense of closeness between Japan and Vietnam, we also provide information on general political, economic, social, and cultural affairs, in addition to various foreign policy issues.
Culture, along with politics and economics, is an important area of Japan-Vietnam diplomacy, and has been playing an increasingly significant role in recent years.
In cooperation with the Japan Foundation, we introduce the multifaceted appeal of traditional culture and pop culture to other countries, and actively support the international exchange activities of nonprofit organizations.
We are engaged in various initiatives in the areas of human exchange, interaction with government officials, intellectuals, and cultural figures from various countries and regions, exchange of foreign students and youth, and sports activities to promote interaction across national borders and cultural barriers.
As developing countries show increasing interest in maintaining and promoting their unique cultures along with economic and social development, many countries are making efforts not only to improve their economic and social infrastructure but also to build their nations, including cultural aspects.
We will support projects that promote understanding between Japan and Vietnam, such as inviting and dispatching human resources and online exchanges between Japan and countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe, and Latin America.
